Senior Cost Accountant
Description

The Senior Cost Accountant positions required a minimum of 5+ years of costing and inventory accounting/analysis experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills are a must. The ideal candidate is a technical thinker who has ability to transfer details into the big picture with focusing on process improvement. Previous experience in the high volume manufacturing cost accounting is a MUST.

Job Specifications
  • 5-10+ years standard Cost Accounting/Analysis experience, preferably in a large manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Advanced Excel skills to include pivot tables and v lookups
  • Valid driver’s license, current proof of insurance and clean driving record
Responsibilities
  • Assists in developing standard cost and labor and overhead rates
  • Performs analysis of product and project costs including material variances and labor efficiencies
  • Performs physical inventory count reconciliations
  • Assists in month end general ledger close and prepare journal entries
  • Assists in the preparation of budget, forecast and variance analysis
  • Develops process improvements and/or procedural controls
  • Assists in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and other internal and external financial reporting
  • Supports financial reviews and audits conducted by independent auditors
  • Other cost and general accounting responsibilities and special projects as required
  • Regular, reliable and predictable attendance
  • May perform other job related duties as assigned
  • May be assigned to any Scantibodies location for any period of time
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. This may include duties in another department or outside your normal scope of work.
