A Purification Scientist is a professional who specializes in the separation, isolation and purification of compounds, such as antibodies, proteins, peptides and other biomolecules. The role of a Protein Purification Scientist is to develop and optimize methods for the purification of these biomolecules, which can then be used for a wide range of applications, including immunoassays, research, and biotechnology. Must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The field of purification science is constantly evolving, so staying current with new technologies and advances in the field is essential.
